Focus on Feed Availability, Water Availability and Diet Adequacy to Maximize Nutrient Intake

When pigs enter the wean-to-finish barn the goal is to get those pigs to market as efficiently and cost-effectively as
possible. An area that impacts this goal is nutrient intake.

Nutrient intake includes three areas: feed availability, water availability and diet adequacy. Ensuring these are managed
well will help pigs reach their full potential.

The PIC team of Wayne Cast, nutritionist, and Isaiah Spath, technical services specialist, shared tips to improve nutrient
intake during our recent virtual event, On the Road With PIC.
