Business Ethics Statement

The long term success and reputation of Genus requires a total commitment to exceptional standards of performance and productivity. Success requires the highest standards of corporate behaviour towards our employees, customers and the societies and world in which we live.

Every employee must therefore observe the highest standards of professional and responsible conduct in order to preserve and strengthen the reputation and success of Genus. The basic principles below set the framework for our worldwide operational standards.

Integrity of Business Relationships

Genus must conduct its business with honesty and integrity and with respect for the interests of those with whom it has relations.

Genus's reputation depends not only on our high quality products and technology, but also on the manner in which we conduct our relationships with customers, suppliers, government officials and other organizations outside Genus. Employees must ensure that their conduct does not provide or give the appearance of providing personal gain at the expense of the group or external business contact.

Safety of and Respect for Employees

Genus is committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions for its employees world-wide.

Our employees are our most valuable resource. Employees must ensure that their conduct does not place their personal safety, or the safety of others, in jeopardy. This includes following established safety procedures and making recommendations for changes when needed.

In all circumstances, including when travelling on company business, employees must at all times conduct themselves in a professional, mature and responsible manner. Employees must ensure that they do not compromise their personal safety or integrity and must be held responsible for adhering to these principles of behaviour.

Employees must treat each other with respect, courtesy and decency. Disparagement, harassment and negative comments of fellow employees or business contacts are inconsistent with this principle and must be discouraged.

Protection of our Assets and Equipment

Genus is committed to safeguarding its assets.

Our assets and equipment provide us with the foundation to protect our products and provide salaries and benefits to our employees. Employees must be responsible for the protection and maintenance of our assets. This includes being responsible for the establishment of and adherence to procedures to safeguard our assets, for example: effective fire safety practices; efficient farm and office maintenance; security and protection of proprietary confidential information; effective financial control procedures.

Highest Quality Products

Genus is committed to providing highest standards of products.

Employee must be responsible for ensuring that there are no compromises to the highest standards of product and that every aspect of our operations that impacts our products promotes and reflects this principle.

These principles are merely guidelines and employees must at all times apply common sense, logic and the basic standards of behaviour expected by our society to guide their determination.
